are you asking about dot work and/or structural?
hogan,
Structural or Bridge, D1.1 or D1.5 code work
Those are the only two I am aware of currently. I've heard WA, OR, and Hawaii, but that is word of mouth, don't know for sure.
some structural jobs will require fema 353. other than that there are no additional requirements for ut that i know of for OR and WA
I do know for a fact that Virginia requires you to do a practical for RT (radiography) in order to do RT on their bridges.
I would guess that you would need the same to do UT if you didn't have an outside cert. I never asked nor had to take it though.
If you have an ASNT cert where you actually have test scores and did a practical (not grandfathered) would you still have to take the practical from the state of New York?
Anyone performing UT per the SCM must pass our practical.
