Is there an AWS designation for Thyssen 2133 filler wire ?

wjshelton,

as far as you mean the full austenitic heat resistant filler wire having a composition as follows:

- C:  .12%
- Si: .30%
- Mn: 4.5%
- Cr:  2.1%
- Ni:  33%
- Nb: 1.2%
- Fe: Remainder

we do have a specific standard "Material Number" (Werkstoffnummer) in Germany which is ~ 1.4850 (X15NiCrNb32-21).

This number again is comparable with your ASTM: A 167.

As far as I have seen it appears that no AWS designation exists yet, but please see also the attached pdf.

Perhaps this helps a bit.

Best regards,
Stephan
