Does anyone have a link to a listing of manufacturer marks for structural fasteners. Found one a couple of years ago, but I didn't save it.
Mainly interested in A325 and F1852 TC
Thanks

I recently had a tough one to figure out. It was an A325 SL with a dot to the left. Ever come across this one?

hogan,

It's St. Louis Screw and Bolt.  We use them.  They're also on John's list.

swnorris,
Actually it is a Lake Erie bolt.

Do you mean that SL is the manufacturers designation for Lake Erie Bolt? I have an older one on my desk that has a dot to the left, but the newer kegs from St. Louis just have SL on the bolt head.

This was a 1 1/8 bolt that we purchased from SLSB. When I received the paperwork there was a cover sheet from SLSB and a cert from Lake Erie. I was a bit perplexed. I was told by a very arrogant SLSB rep that the dot meant they had Lake Erie manufacture the bolt for them, like it was common knowledge. This after going through about 6-7 individuals that had no idea what I was talking about.

As I was typing a response before yours, my computer shut down.  As I was posting, I called St. Louis.  They told me that the dot meant that either Lake Erie or Shuler manufactured them....so there's another manufacturer.

swnorris,
Thanks for the additional info. I'm wondering how this will affect some of my requirements to use an authorized bolt manufacture. SLSB is, Lake Erie is, but Shuler is not.

I'm wondering that on my end as well.

How about you ask first and let me know what they say?

When I get to that point, I'll just see if they'll approve bolts manufactured by Lake Erie or Shuler.  I did not know that St. Louis used outside sources.  That's something we'll definitely have to watch.
