Is there a thumb rule or a specific number for the wire feed rate (inches/min) for TIG welding (0.035 wire) stainless steel?
Thanks!

Do you mean GMAW? Because TIG is GTAW which is manualy fed by the operator.

We do robotic tig and plasma welding and feed the wire in inches per min. controlled through the analog signal board.

As for manual, that might be a bit hard to calculate since the amount of wire needed is dependent on all of the other variables.  We just specify the weld size and dictate with or without filler.  We do not require a specific amount of wire to be used.
