I recently took my CWI exam and am waiting for the results.
I was told that I could check on the website, but I don't see where.
Does anyone know where to look?

It takes two weeks to get the results. I took my test the 13th, and got the results back today. Good news, I passed!

I don't believe you can check on the web site for your test results. You can check your status after you pass by entering your number in the Certification check area. This will tell anybody who checks that you are active or not.

When you get the results, they tell you how you did for each test. They break it down into question areas, and tell you how many you got wrong for each test area. Well done, I like that they do that.

Good luck with your results.

Congratulations on passing.
I took my test on the 12th, so I was hoping to be able to check.

I found the verify check, but it asks for a CWI number.
I can figure out the first four digits which are the date certified, but it says the next three digits are unique.

try this!

http://www.aws.org/cgi-bin/mwf/topic_show.pl?tid=11889

but use 0901 for the first numbers if you tested in Dec '08 because your CWI will become effective the following month that you tested!
Good Luck!

Congratulations Christian. I passed my CWI in November. The wait for the test results can be more than a little nerve racking. Best of luck to you in the future.

Matt

Good job. keep the world safe by sticking to the code and understanding what is the good, the bad and the ugly. I always see myself or my son walking on the platform how ever many years from now, wondering if i will be safe because of the welds that i am checking.

Oh absolutely. I am dedicated to adherence to code, training and safety. One of my shining moments as a parent came a few months ago. Both of my children have been coming into my shop since they were able to walk. My daughter is a girl scout, and they had an engineer come in to do a discussion on computers and pc boards recently. My daughter was able to explain the functions of a capacitor, diode, transformer, and resistor. I couldn't stop smiling for a week.

The last three numbers you have to start with 001,002,003,004 etc, thats the only way i know of getting it. the weird thing about that is i got my results before i could find it on the quik check.
