Good looking truck. How do you like that Pro 300?
Parent - By cmays (***) Date 08-10-2009 21:02
I love it. Wouldnt have another machine. Fuel economy, engine longevity, and arc characteristics on all processes are great. Itll stack downhill, itll run lowhigh like spreading butter on toast. 90% of that is in he arm ofcourse :). TIG with it took some geting used to dealing with arc ends cause it likes to long arc.  Here is a challenge for some of you miller techs if you are reading this: Why cant you figure out a way to put the auto crater function that you have in some of the new engine drives in the Pro 300? Where when youre ready to break your arc all you have to do is pull back slightly and the machine ramps down for you without loosing gas coverage. I tig with it in the field just about every other day and other than that I have no problem with it. If I have to do any aluminum I just throw the dynasty 200 in the tool box and head out. Ive chugged 1/4 lowhigh with it for 10 hrs a day on some jobs and never missed a beat. I do something different everyday and it will handle all I ask it to.

Hey thats a nice rig. Just wondering where u got that custom hood for your machine with the LOL!!
Parent - By sae350 (*) Date 08-12-2009 04:40
I'm in the middle of making a new hood. Its day-one of the build, thats why it has vise grips holding it on.
Parent - - By cmays (***) Date 08-10-2009 20:45
LOL I was waiting for that! They used to be red but this West Texas sun turned them pink.
Parent - - By jrw159 (*****) Date 08-10-2009 20:52

Cmays, did you build those boxes on the truck? Or where did you buy them at? I like that design..i mite have to copy it lol
Parent - - By cmays (***) Date 08-10-2009 21:59
I built the boxes. Ive got a break and shear in my shop so it comes in handy building tool boxes.

Sweet little pipeliner. :-) You just recently did the coating on the bed?

jrw159
Parent - - By patg (**) Date 08-11-2009 00:46
no its been on there about 2 years. momma armoralls it on the weekends
Parent - - By jrw159 (*****) Date 08-11-2009 00:53
Yeah I can tell it is well taken care of. I thought I remembered pics in the past of it black, no coating. I thought maybe you upgraded. Starting off fresh with coating is better. The prep is easier and the adhesion is uniform. You don't have to worry about getting the nooks and crannys preped right.

Looks good.

Parent - - By bigrod (**) Date 08-12-2009 20:19
lol i have been duck hunting once, theres not hardly any water for them around here.  I do love hunting but the real reason for the pic was to show the holder for my pancake.
