Rush

Welcome to the forum.

I'm slightly familliar with this one.  (note the S-3 rather than S-6 for the solid filler)

If your intent is to do GMAW short circuit on open roots without running a PQR this may do the trick as long as you comply with the limited scope of the SWPS.

AWS B2.1-1-233-200X

Standard Welding Procedure Specification (SWPS) for 75% Argon Plus 25% Carbon Dioxide Shielded
Gas Metal Arc Welding (Short Circuiting Transfer Mode) followed by 98% Argon Plus 2% Oxygen Shielded Gas Metal Arc Welding (Spray Transfer Mode)
of Carbon Steel (M-1/P-1/S-1),
Groups 1 and 2,
1/8 through 1-1/2 inch thick,
ER70S-3
As-Welded or PWHT Condition,
Primarily Pipe Applications

Thanks but I am new to this. I am looking for a list of SWPS. Is there a book of SWPS, or an individual listing?

Rush,
check with the AWS book store. You can use their search function to find what they have to fit your situation......there are lots of SWPSs in there, so be patient and scroll through.

Went there found 50 or so, none seem to get me where I need to be.
I am looking to use a standard tried and true WPS Traceable to AWS D1.1 to qualify our welders to. Was hoping to find 2 actualy.

Material: M-1 Group1 and II The more flexible the better
Thickness: 1/8" to unlimited (Plate is all we need for now)
Joints: Groove, fillet, the more the better.
Processes: GMAW and GMAW-S
Shielding Gas: 98% Argon/2% Oxygen for the GMAW-spray
                    75% Argon/25% Co2 for the short Arc
Filler Metal ER70S-6
Filler Metal Dia. .035, .045 (1/16 and .020" would be nice)

I feel I am missing something in my interpretation of how to find the info.
