I have the ESAB 300VS I think it is built better than the Lincoln and I also think it runs better and smoother. Just My choice though

Hey Cactus .... I have been looking into getting an Ln25 to hook up to my Vantage... Did you have to get anything special to run that ESAB off your Vantage..? I may look at them ??   I was looking at the Ln25 Pro dual power ... Have you seen or run any of those..??? I think the are relatively new...

I don't know anything about ESAB...  I have a friend that swears by his ESAB mig.. I have never run it..  I used to be a Miller man but I have totally converted over to Lincoln in the last two years...!!!  Im pretty much a die hard Lincoln fan now..

I got a LN-25 Pro and it is a lot better than the LN-25. Wire pulls from the top of the reel instead of the bottom like on the 25 and it does not bird nest inside the feeder. Also has less wear on your drive rolls.

Cactus the esab and the miller are the same feeder? Was told last year that the miller couldn't run of my vantage because of the way they are wired?

BS ! I run mine all the time from it. You dont use the 14 pin connection is all. The Lead on the feeder has a lc-40 connector. Just hook you lead to it (reverse the polarity if needed) and weld away ! Works like a charm. The only way it would be different is if you have a Feeder with ONLY a miller plug in on it. I dont know about those. Mine has a single lead coming out of the back. It can be run on ANY machine The model # of mine is ESAB 300 VS you can compare it to a miller

Hello tigrooter, there is a Miller RC and VS suitcase feeder, the RC uses the 14-pin Miller connection to operate in conjunction with the Miller CV output on their newer engine drives with 14 pin hook-ups and they will also run from any of the shop type CV machines with the 14-pin connections, the VS's will connect to any machine with CC or CV output. Ideally you should be run with CV if at all possible. There is plenty more that could be discussed in this light, but you have the basics here. Best regards, Allan
