If I am welding A204 316L pipe to a group1 plate for a fillet weld only WPS qualification. Would I need a PQR if all that is required is three macro's for the test? Please advise.

Tschmidt,
The PQR is your record of all the actual variables from the test coupon.
Amps, volts, travel speed, material type, consumable type ,plate thickness, fillet size etc, etc, etc.
The record of test results (3 x macros) probably makes up about 5% of your PQR.
So Yes, if the joint is not pre-qualified you need a PQR,
Regards,
Shane

Shane, Tschmidt might be using the wrong Code (D1.1) for S/S materials.

That's why I responded with "?".

We need more information if a reasonable response is expected.
