How long should the individual pieces of pipe be for the 12" open butt and 12" on 12" branch welding test be?

And....for the piece the branch connects to (run), no less than 24". you will need enough on the test straps to grip to for your nick breaks. This will give you approximately 5.5" on each end after the branch is centered.

Bottom of the concave has to be higher than the pipe.
