Hi. How are you? There is a table (13.2)  in Volume 1 of the AWS welding handbooks (8 th Edition) that introduces the institutes which publish standards.  By referring to this table , you can find the necessary standard for many products and industries. For more information please read the volume 1 of AWS welding handbook.

Actually at the moment my nighttime reading has been Linnert's 'Welding Metallurgy'.  Though I do on occasion go to the Welding Handbook to compare certain items.  But, I guess it depends on what is 'nighttime'.  Back working way too many hours and usually through the night, so I am sitting here in the office studying my metallurgy.  Had an interesting occurrence on our current project that I am not at liberty to discuss for the time being.  It was time for some refreshing supporting science to my opinions.

Pretty good information in both.

Nightstand? I have mine next to the Toilet.:twisted::twisted:

Why would anyone have a nightstand next to their toilet?

AH, internet communications.  And here I just 'assumed' he meant he kept his copy of the book there and it was well placed for the appropriate usage.  Unless he actually likes to read about Metallurgy while ... well, we all get the point.

It's the other way around, my toilet is next to the nightstand! As a young lad, I spent many a night with my head in the toilet, feeding it my excess alcohol. A sawzall worked very nicely to eliminate the long run around the corner to get to the toilet. and I didn't even have to move the nightstand.

Thank you ctacker, for clearing that up.  A toilet next to a nightstand makes more sense.
