3.9.2.1 Dihedral Angle Limitations. The obtuse side of skewed T-joints with dihedral angles greater than 100° shall be prepared as shown in Figure 3.4, Detail C, to allow placement of a weld of the required size. The amount of machining or grinding, etc., of Figure 3.4, Detail C, should not be more than that required to achieve the required weld size (W).

Figure 3.4 C shows a PJP weld. Is the obtuse fillet welds shown in Figure 3.4 A and B not prequalified?
