Hi All,

We don’t want to re-invent a wheel on something that I believe other companies have tried. Here’s my question:

Have you found an effective way to measure the weld quality output of your welders and their ability to interpret welds correctly (acceptable or not)? We are looking for a way to quantitatively look at this (put numbers to it, but not be too complex that it won't be done).

If you know of something, can you share it?

Thanks in advance for your input!

I track it with an excel spreadsheet that I came up with a few years ago. If you pm me your email, I'll send it to you.

Hey Mike,
You need to perform a Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
It a statistical method on calculating how well each person interprets welds (repeatability and reproducibility).
There's lots of info on the web.
