Does anyone have experience welding N-ihard (150mmx150mm and 500 mm length) with A36 (thickness:12 mm)? It´s a T - joint .
If the Ni-hard you are talking about is a white cast iron you are
out of luck. Per AWS White Cast Irons are considered unweldable.
Any questions call MG Tech Hotline at 800 558-8524.
Ni Hard is a martensitic alloy composed by white cast iron and nickel, with a hardness of some 55 HRC. It's used for high abrasion resistance applications, such as ball mills lining. Bobfredtech is right, it's impossible to weld it. Sorry.
