Up Topic American Welding Society Services / Technical Standards & Publications / AWS /ASME SFA A5.1 : E7016 - Double coated??

I just lost my supplier for the above mentioned product and am looking for a new one.  Anybody know if this product is always double coated or if only some manufacturers decide to do it this way.
Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

That is a low hydrogen electrode.  Double coated?  Never heard of it.

I looked it up with my Google research tool :)

Sellers of double coated electrodes say it works better bridging gaps and on root passes for pipe with Low hydrogen SMAW requirements.

Google brought up about half a dozen makers on the first page

Interesting, not that I see a lot of E7016 being used in these parts.
