I sometimes find it neccesary to tig-weld-repair steel (P-20) molds in our shop on occasion. Our supplier recommends using Oerlikon OECRM01 for this mat'l and some stringent Pre/post heat requirements because of the need for these repairs to be invisible after a high polish (color match and stress relieve required) My distributor has no idea where to get this stuff and doesn't carry any U.S. product similar (I believe it is a chrome moly ER 80-s_?). Anybody know where to get this Tig rod, what its' exact specs are or where to get another version of it in the states? I tried their web site, but could only locate distributors in the U.K. and beyond. Thanks to all you knowledgable folks out there in advance.
You might be referring to Oerlikon Carborod CrMo-1. It looks like the European version of ER80S-B2. You can find info on it at http://www.oerlikonweld.com/. However, it doesn't look like that close of a match to P-20 steel. The follwoing links might be helpful to you as they give some welding recommendations.

P20 is not a hard find.
Call Natweld, 800-433-3454. They will get you what you need.
