Certificate of Completion – Combination Welding This certificate program takes approximately three semesters to complete. It is designed to develop the skills needed to enter the job market ready to go to work as a welder. Intense training in the major welding processes (GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW) are encountered. The course also offers instruction in job planning and layout, welding symbols and blueprint reading, and nondestructive examination. Associate Degree – Welding Technology This four-semester program is designed to develop skills in the major welding processes as well as the technical study of metals. In addition to the welding processes, the student will have courses in general psychology, college algebra, composition, humanities, academic welding metallurgy, nondestructive examination methods, and automated and robotic welding applications. Advanced Pipe Welding Certificate This optional one-semester program is open to graduates of both the certificate and degree programs who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The certificate covers intermediate pipe welding, advanced pipe welding, and advanced layout and fabrication.
