Do any of your companies spec 2 or more welders on pipe 16" and larger. If so what is their logic?

that much welding and heat can crak but long as it has a bead and hot pass in it one can weld it out in most cases (down hill that is)

I thought the code required all 12 inch and over to be welded with two welders.  One good reason is that the joint gap will close up if you use just one welder.

done it plenty of times especially on heavywall. I'm a tube welder we brother-in-law everything just about, ofcourse we have to since you can't get to the other side from inside a boiler.
