I'm guessing what we're going to start seeing are more truck manufacturer's selling their work trucks as work trucks.
Right now, the auto manufacturers are marketing these $30k-$40k Super Duty class trucks to the guy who drives his truck to the office. They build too many of them because they don't want to miss out on the sale of them, then they are left with too many that they have to take a bath on (does $10,000 off MSRP sound familiar?).
I'm sure you'll still be able to get a work truck, but it won't come with CD/DVD-DVD, plush toosh options, 4-door, 4x4, turbo charged diesel, and chrome wheels. It will likely be a chassis cab with an AM/FM radio, a manual transmission, and a heater.
