Okay, now the beginnings of this thread by Shannon and you make more sense.
And having done many weld on saddle/tees for hot taps on water lines, jet fuel lines, etc underground in OR & WA I understand the fun part of being in the mud. And it never fails, the worst weather days are the ones you pull up on and they have given you almost no clearance under the pipe. Don't know how many times I have laid in water and mud while welding overhead with my face literally IN the weld. That was when I could still see good up close.
Anyway, I can see how welding on this in adverse conditions would really make your night a real joy.
Thanks again for the links Cactus. Would be nice to see some actual pics if one of you guys has some and can figure out how to post them. It isn't too difficult but did take me a little work the first couple of times.
