Joe, what do you consider to be a ridiculous price? If the Level IIIs you've contacted are both in the same ball park, they are giving you the going price for your area.

When you select a Level III, it is like hiring a lawyer. Do you really want the cheapest one in the state to represent you when you get into a fix?

You need to hire a Level III that is experienced and is available to answer inquiries when they come up. It's like a family doctor. You need him when you need him, but do you want to travel half way across the country if you need him in a hurry?

The Level III should be familiar with you and your company. It isn't like ordering a widget from the J.C. Penny catelog.

Best regards - Al

Now look what you did Joe...

You made Al run out his list of credentials.  And a pretty impressive one it is too.

Good points Al.  While it doesn't hurt to keep a company honest by going out for more than one bid/estimate sometimes you most definitely DON'T WANT the cheapest guy in town, or out of town.  You'll end up paying the same price in the end.  And it may ruin you in the process.

Have a Great Day,  Brent
