Just started a pump replacement project that will include some underwater (wet) welding. Anybody familiar with the process? I've been told that I won't have to get wet but inspection is required. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
There is a gentleman (Well , maybe not so much but he's a really good person) that used to frequent the forum and his call sign is "gndchuck" and his name is Charles Welch who is an diver/welder... If you send him a private message, he may have the time to go over the process with you... he's been at it for some years now so he's definitely experienced enough to describe the process to you... Here's where you can read a post illustrating a day at the office:
To be honest, I have not yet reviewed them so take them for what they're worth... I hope these help.
Edit: When you press the play button it may not work immediately and you may, or may not need to activate "Quicktime" if you have it in order for it to work properly so, try it again several times and it should start for you as it did for me. Finally, it's better to view these pod casts in a separate window.
