I'm not making it either, have to make another trip to OR to help out my parents.  Mid eighties are catching up with that old farmer/retired fire-fighter. 

We're sending another AWS/AZ Section representative to take advantage of the opportunity.  I've been twice in the last three years.  I'll try for next year.

Well at least many of us aren't making it because we are working, not because we are broke from not working.  :roll: 

I'm sure there will be a good many good people there to network with.  I have enjoyed my time on both occasions.  Spent time at the AWS opening ceremonies for the National meetings.  Sat in on D14 committee meetings.  Took seminars, Professional workshops, Technical presentations, wandered the floor at the second one with the amazing Al Moore, met Miami staff personnel, and just had a very good time. 

It is well worth the time and money.  Of course, between being a section officer and owning my own company, not much comes out of my pocket  :lol:  :eek:  :roll:

Lincoln and some of the larger players will have "Hospitality suites" at the Hyatt regency Atlanta (on peach tree road). 

Good for snacks, drinks and very good networking :)

I was *Voluntold* to be on a project the week of the expo.......  I'm gnashing my teeth on this one as I had originally planned this project for August and have suffered through multiple holds.

I get a lot out of the Expo every year and really miss it when I can't go.

I plan to go.  I work at Stein Steel in Atlanta, and the World Congress Center is about a 30 minute drive from the shop.
