I am looking for standard data of how much metal is required to weld a joint of particular thickness for a particular length for different kind of joints for different kind of welding procedures. Where to find this information?

Here is a program that can compare two different processes provided you know the process variables such as deposition rate, deposition efficiency, production factor, cost per lb etc.. http://www.weldinginspectionsvcs.com/FtpPublic/WeldProcessCostStandalone.zip and one that can also calculate volumes of weld metal by joint at http://www.weldinginspectionsvcs.com/FtpPublic/WeldassistVer2.0%20Trial.zip

Have a nice day
