Try saving it as a jpg. This format is in bmp which takes up more space. Couldn't really speak for whats on it as I can't make them out.

I concurr with CWI555 regarding the changing of it's image file format.

If you go to cnet.com, you can find a variety of image viewers and most of them now give you the capability to change the image file format just like Gerald suggested...

The one application I use is called "Fastone Image viewer", the version I use is "freeware" although this particular version has no limitations due to it's status as "freeware". An excellent and very user friendly program app IMHO. :)

Thanks Tommyjoking, I tried the PNG and the smallest that was clear was 6.89 mb.

I have been working on it - I broke the poster down into page sheets.

I realy want to here feedback on what our forum audience thinks of this work.

Hi Mwccwi!

I think that the images are of good quality, the type of discontiuites & defects are identified well, and the only thing I would suggest is to offer possible causes, and solutions to each of the scenario's - either on the same page or as an adjacent page.
Just my two cents :)

sorry the png format did not work out for you...probably a comppresion/software thing...I am using the Macromedia Dreamweaver suite of tools.

I think its an excellent idea overall. The identification and examples are good. I agree with Henry that offering solutions to some of these problems could make it even better...like the porosity for instance. The best thing about it all is you are making it very clear what is not going to fly in the shop and that is a great thing. The crater photos are just a bit unclear but I don't think they are bad should fit the bill. I really think you could expand upon this over time with more common defects you discover and really make a definitive guide for the work being done.

It looks great! Nice, big photos and clear explanations of each. Like Henry, I would put suggested prevention/correction tips in each example. Otherwise, a very useful tool. Good job!

Thanks to all for the responses, As for cause and cure thats another project. This project is just for a visual aid poster and I allready have the pictures pretty bussy for the Plotter printer D size.
