Dengensha Adds Service Support for Southern States Dengensha America, Bedford, Ohio, has named Curtis Dietrich southern sales associate, to provide resistance welding and feeders service and support for customers in Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Texas, and the Carolinas. Curtis Dietrich Dietrich, based in Cincinnati, Ohio, previously served Nova Engineering and L-3 Communications. Lockheed Martin Appoints Senior VP and CTO Lockheed Martin Corp., Bethesda, Md., has appointed Rodney A. Makoske senior vice president, corporate engineering, technology, and operations, and a corporate officer. Dana (Keoki) Jackson was appointed vice president and chief technology officer. Makoske, with the company for 27 years, most recently was vice president of technical operations for the Mission Systems and Training business area. Jackson, with the company since 1997, most recently served as vice president for program excellence, where he led the integration of the councils for engineering and technology, production, program management, supply chain, and sustainment. Instructor Higgins Retires from Hobart Institute Hobart Institute of Welding Technology (HIWT), Troy, Ohio, has announced the retirement of Skill Instructor Mike Higgins after 46 years of service. Higgins worked several years at Hobart Brothers’s Research and Development Dept., beginning in 1968, then left to serve in the 1st Calvary Div. of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He joined the HIWT staff as a welding instructor in 1978 where he has served until his retirement early this year. TÜV Rheinland® Appoints Senior Sales Manager TüV Rheinland Industrial Solutions, Boxborough, Mass., a fullservice inspection, testing, and certification company, has appointed Larry Volkmann as senior sales and business development manager for advanced nondestructive and energy services. Volkmann brings more than 25 years of experience, most recently serving as senior business line manager at Applus RTD USA in Houston, Tex. Wagner Companies Hires Sustainability Specialist The Wagner Companies, Milwaukee, Wis., a manufacturer of handrail fittings and metal products for architectural and industrial applications, has appointed Ben Perreault as a sustainability specialist in the areas of waste reduction, climate change, transportation, weatherization, clean and renewable energy, and energy efficiency. Perreault is a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a degree in environmental studies. Narasimhan has more than 25 years of experience in the industry, most recently at Westinghouse Electric, where he was involved with nuclear power plant projects.
