Henderson Community College Breaks Ground for New Welding Building Henderson Community College, Henderson, Ky., is starting to construct a new welding building on its Henderson Campus. This facility — representing a $1.4 million project with 20 welding stations and a technology-enabled classroom — replaces an older 12-station setting in downtown Henderson. It will increase the numbers of students served, allow the pursuit of becoming an American Welding Society Accredited Test Facility, and open around Labor Day of this year. The college not only includes welding in its Industrial Maintenance Technology program (Associate of Applied Science Degree) as an option, but also offers welding certificates in several areas and provides noncredit skills training for local employers through its Workforce Solutions department.
