The event was held at TCTA. Local 372 sponsored the event. MOBILE January 8 Speaker: Clay Byron Affiliation: Miller Electric Mfg. Co., Topic: Advanced welding technologies Activity: The event included a demonstration of new equipment and filler metals. The program was held at WESCO Gas & Welding Supply in Prichard, Ala. February 5 Activity: The Section toured the Gulf Power James F. Crist Generating Plant in Pensacola, Fla. Kristie Kelley, employee development coordinator, conducted the tour for 37 attendees. The company manufactures roller hearths and furnaces for tubing manufacture. Scott Brown, sales manager, made a presentation about the various operations.
