Thomas C. O’Malley Thomas C. O’Malley, 50, died suddenly Jan. 27, in Mullica Hill, N.J. An AWS member since 1997, he was active with the Philadelphia Section. He started his career in the industry as a Union Ironworker/ Welder, and later as a salesman for welding products in the refinery and power-generation markets in Philadelphia, Pa. In 1997, he founded Excel Welding Supply, Inc., in Philadelphia, and in 2007 founded Excel Welding Test Labs, Inc. Both companies were acquired by Airgas in 2012. In 2009, he cofounded TiP TiG USA, where he served as sole owner and president until his death. David Alan Pryor David Alan Pryor, 57, died Feb. 21 at his home in Denton, Tex. He had been an AWS member since 1998 with the North Texas Section. During his 30 years in the industry, he served as a director of engineering for Victor Technologies and was awarded eleven patents.
