With the company for 19 years, Fleming has served in several positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as product manager and national sales manager of the AC&R, automotive industrial, aviation, and pipe freezer divisions. Cooper, with the company for ten years, most recently held production coordinator and marketing coordinator positions. The company manufacturers ultraviolet equipment and fluorescent materials used in the inspection and numerous other industries. IWDC Hires Product Manager The IWDC, Indianapolis, Ind., a cooperative of independent welding distributor members, has hired Sean Norton as hardgoods product manager responsible for the Weldmark® brand and vendor partner brands. Previously, Norton worked 15 years as a district manager for Victor Technologies and ten years at independent welding and gas distributors with experience with AGA Gas and later with Air Liquide. Nederman Opens New Office in Mexico Nederman Americas, Charlotte, N.C., has named Juan Carlos Sanz Rodriguez managing director of its new office located at 2015 Centro Urbano in Mexico City. Assisting him are Christian Bergeyre as channel products salesperson, and Luis Fernando Ramirez Olvera as the lead in configured solutions. Previously, Rodriguez served ten years as a company technical sales manager in Spain and two years as a Nederman agent in Columbia, South America. Industrial Scientific Hires Sales VP for the Americas Industrial Scientific Corp., Oakdale, Pa., a supplier of gas-detection systems, has hired Steve Piotraczk vice president of Americas sales, with responsibility for clients in the United States, Canada, Latin America, and South America. Piotraczk has more than 30 years in the industry, most recently as vice president of innovation sales in the financial services at SAP. Quality Industries Announces Two VPs Quality Industries, Inc., La Vergne, Tenn., a precision metal fabricator, has named Chris Fann senior vice preside of operations, and Gary Carter vice president, information technology and enterprise transformation. Fann most recently served as senior vice president at Dura Automotive. Carter previously served at Vaco, a consulting firm, as an engagement partner. Obituaries Charles (Charlie) Lewis Jr. Charles (Charlie) Lewis Jr., 78, died Feb. 4 in Jeanerette, La. An AWS Life Member with the Acadiana Section, he served as its treasurer 1990–2009 and was the current vice chair and scholarship and Foundation chair. Lewis began his welding career in the U.S. Navy, where he served 22 years as a hull technician. He taught welding for more than 25 years at Lafayette Regional Vocational School.
